Cthulhu

He will terrorize your dreams. With cuteness.
I've seen this online and around for a while now and wanted to try it out.

Surprisingly easy and came out impressive even though at times, it was quite difficult. I, again, made this for a friend of mine and I hope he enjoys it.

I was even more surprised that he stood on his own with only a little adjusting to the bottom. If I could change anything for next time, I might give him little legs and red eyes.

                             It's Cthulhu, after all.
Wings!!!

Drawstring Bag... Now with flowers!

Front view, the strings are just chain stiches

I really enjoy drawstring bags, they're very handy. I usually enjoy making them, as well...
I have made a few of similar bags in the past and never had much trouble with them.
I decided to make this one for a friend of mine and figured I could add some flowers to them for decoration.

Back view of the bag.

It was easy enough to find a decent looking pattern online, but I should have trusted myself and used the method that I have in the past to make these bags. The pattern I started made the bag a little wonky and not up to my usual standards, but I think it came out cute in spite of that - I was able to fix and adjust the pattern on the fly, which was nice.
I will say that if I had followed the pattern exactly, it would not have looked like the pictures they posted, so I have no idea what they were doing there, but it helps to have a little experience.

The flowers were an easy one row flower. I would have liked them to be smaller so I could add more to the bag, but I think they look all right.

Still, very cute and I really hope that my friend likes it!

Red Octopus!

I did a blue version of this octopus last year as one of my very first projects and I was very pleased with how it turned out - I decided to make another one for a friend of mine as a gift and found out that for the previous plushie, I made a mistake. Not a crucial one, but I'm glad I caught the mishap.

As it turns out the tentacles and body are one piece - I had finished off once I had the body done and crocheted the tentacles individually. I prefer the actual method as I can fit more tentacles in and they are nicely spaced.

Also, I would prefer not to sew unless I absolutely have to. :)

Jellyfish!

I found this pattern online and it was very simple, but I think it came out pretty well.
I apologize for the low quality of the pictures, but I was taking them quickly as they were a gift for my best friend - she LOVES jellyfish.

Very easy construction - the cap especially and very straight forward, only 3 pieces and then I added the extra string for the heck of it. Nice piece and it made a great gift.
